Hyrox is the fastest-growing fitness competition in the world. Performance is central, and as the level rises, details become decisive. What initially feels like a lack of strength often turns out to be a matter of control. Grip plays a bigger role than expected; this is where the real gains are to be made.
In other sports, gear has been taken seriously for years. In Hyrox, that had not yet happened. The best athletes in the Netherlands trained and performed wearing work gloves, equipment that was never designed for this sport.
In that quest for perfection, it soon became apparent that existing gear did not fully meet the demands of the sport. Every option entailed its own compromise, and a true alternative simply did not yet exist.
I am Justin Fokkert, a Business Administration student at the University of Groningen, and I come from the racing world myself. Until I was fifteen, I raced motorcycles at a high level, and even now I have close ties to elite sport. In 2023, shortly after ending my motorcycle racing career, I first came into contact with Hyrox. I immediately recognized that same sharpness of detail that makes the difference in the racing world, but I hadn't seen this reflected anywhere else in the gear they were using.
Driven by the needs of top-level athletes, I decided to create something that did not yet exist. More than a year of development, testing, and refinement followed, in close collaboration with the best HYROX athletes in the Netherlands. Every detail was re-examined, improved, and perfected.
